Saturday blogging

I missed the Longhorns game today, so I went on over to www.mackbrown-texasfootball.com to see how it went. After all it was Baylor, it shouldn’t have been a problem. What struck me first was not the score, but the ad that read “Vote for Colt McCoy Davey O’Brien National QB Award.”

Needless to say, I did not click. Maybe if it were for the Fumble McTurnover award. . .

The issue with Colt is: who replaces him? Chiles is gonna be good for us, but he's no Vince Young (way to burn his shirt, though, Mack). Sherrod Harris has a bum knee. And call me crazy, but GJ Kinne's just way too valuable for us to burn his shirt.

Hey, this is new... although most appear to be walk-ons, we have eight QBs on our roster.

Apropos of nothing... I had a post a few weeks back with the title "FIRE GREG DAVIS" (still a good recommendation, btw), and every weekend after a game there's a deluge of Google hits for people searching for that phrase.

We're lucky that this is a freak season where the rest of the nation's suckitude rate has somehow exceeded UT's perennial underperformance.

Colt actually looked decent this week. He only ha done turnover, and I wouldn't even fault him for that. However based on his performance in the previous games, I would have rather seen Chiles. Of course he's no VY, but I think he'd still be better than Colt.
